Crossing The Line of Artistic Expression
A dangerous game to play, these days. Everyone is prepped with daggers at the throats of artists for daring to express things outside of gender exploration, overly gaudy interpretations of nature, and anime charcters standing in what might as well be a padded cell.
I wish I cared more. I can't bring myself to care about this type of art. It feels not that far off from AI. It is exactly that type of art which will be run out by AI first, because the audience for that kind of art doesn't value art, they value dopamine hits, much like the artists producing the content. So, truthfully, match made in heaven.
I'm aware my distaste for these artists puts me into a corner. In online art communities, hug boxes are the standard, lest you be deemed a "bad person." Good luck from there. Once one achieves the "bad person" status on the internet, there's no going back. I don't believe in "good people" or "bad people," just "people." Sometimes people do things that hurt, but never (yes even criminals) is someone all bad. Continue to believe that the world is a black and white, good vs. evil game, and watch as your friends back stab you, dwindle, and ghost.
Animal Crossing is a really fun game. I made Suzu and Jack's house in the Paradise Planning DLC.
